According to sources, Johanita was on the phone with her grandma on her way home after purchasing a birthday present for her mother.

She was only a few metres from her house when a guy described as Mohamed Nur struck her from behind.

Paramedics treated Ms Dogbey, but she was pronounced dead on the spot.

Ms Dogbey’s family has described her as a “smart, dedicated and loving” woman who “hasn’t got one bad bone in her body”.

According to the BBC, the suspect “has appeared in court charged with the murder as well as offences connected to other alleged stabbing attacks.

“Mr Nur, 33, is also accused of another count of possession of an offensive weapon and causing grievous bodily harm to three people, last Saturday.”

During a one-hour span, two women and a male were slashed at Brixton’s Town Hall Parade, Brixton Road, and Acre Lane, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Mr Nur, of Bond Way in Vauxhall, appeared before Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Friday and was remanded in jail to appear at the Old Bailey the following week.
