Angus Cloud was born Conor Angus Cloud Hickey on July 10, 1998, in Oakland, California; however, the majority of his family lives in Ireland. He has younger twin sisters. Cloud is reportedly dating actress and model Sydney Martin, who appeared on “Euphoria” in a minor role.
Career
Cloud was recruited by casting director Jennifer Venditti, who was seeking cast members for a new play when he was working at a chicken and waffles restaurant near Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York City. That show, Sam Levinson’s teen drama “Euphoria,” premiered on HBO in 2019. The show is based on the Israeli television series of the same name and follows a group of high school kids as they struggle with feelings of love, family, friendship, sex, drugs, and identity. In “Euphoria,” Cloud portrays Fezco, a local drug dealer who has a tight relationship with Zendaya’s character, young addict Rue Bennett.
Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith, Sydney Sweeney, and Storm Reid all appear in the series. Javon Walton joins the main cast in the second season as Ashtray, Fez’s informally adopted younger brother.
Following his success with “Euphoria,” Cloud made his feature film debut in the 2021 skateboarding drama “North Hollywood.” Mikey Alfred directed and wrote the film, which stars Ryder McLaughlin as a high school graduate from North Hollywood who dreams above everything to be a professional skateboarder. Cloud portrays Walker, a minor character in the film. Vince Vaughn, Miranda Cosgrove, Nico Hiraga, Aramis Hudson, Gillian Jacobs, and Gryphon Gluck are also in the cast. Notably, “North Hollywood” opened in the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California in March 2021, making it the stadium’s first public event.
Cloud’s other film credits include being a member of the cast of the 2022 film “The Things They Carried,” an adaptation of Tim O’Brien’s 1990 war novel of the same name. Rupert Sanders directs the picture, which stars Tom Hardy, Tye Sheridan, Stephan James, Pete Davidson, Ashton Sanders, and Bill Skarsgard, among others. Cloud also appears in Dan Brown’s 2022 horror thriller “Your Lucky Day,” which he wrote and directed.
Cloud has appeared in a few music videos in addition to television and movies. In 2020, he appeared in the video for Noah Cyrus’ song “All Three,” directed by Tyler Shields. Cloud then featured in the video for Juice WRLD’s “Cigarettes,” directed by Steve Cannon, two years later.
