One person has been confirmed dead after being buried under rubble when a three-story building collapsed in Nanakrom, Adentan Municipality, Accra.
This tragedy occurs only a week after a similar incident in Madina. The most recent incident, which occurred Thursday evening, also resulted in one person being injured.
In an interview with Citi News, the Municipal Chief Executive for the region, Alexander Nii Noi Adumuah, stated that the injured individual was sent to the hospital for treatment.
He stated that after hours of searching, employees from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) were able to extract the deceased on Friday morning.
Mr Noi Adumah also stated that police are investigating the matter.
The latest building fall comes only days after the Police arrested the Supervisor of another three-story structure that fell in Adentan, Accra, on Monday.
One person was killed and three others were injured as a result of the under-construction structure.
