Ghanaian football great Asamoah Gyan has launched an online fundraiser for the comic Funny Face.

The troubled comedy actor resorted to social media to explain that he has been unable to visit his children for several years due to financial difficulties.

He claims that his public outburst while dealing with mental health concerns cost him several ambassadorial opportunities.

Taking to social media, Funny Face offered an unequivocal apology to people he had hurt and requested them to help him get back on his feet.

Asamoah Gyan contributed GH₵ 1000 to Funny Face and urged Ghanaians to help the comic support his family.

“I managed to call FUNNY FACE. He poured his heart out to me, and I’m so touched. I decided to start a campaign to support the guy with 1000 MoMo on his number. Let’s show him love cos remember he brought joy to kids way back and if he can’t afford to see his kid’s cos he doesn’t have, why don’t we support have with the penny we can🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿. ‘He’s a genius,’ Wyclef Jean compliments Stonebwoy following their meeting

Wyclef Jean, a Haitian-American singer, has professed appreciation for Ghanaian dancehall performer Stonebwoy.

Wyclef Jean brought Stonebwoy to his New York residence when he was on his American tour.

In a social media video, Wyclef praised Stonebwoy for his huge contributions to African music, noting that “he is a genius.”


“Extremely gifted. Not even skill; how can I describe genius? Because I am a genius. I do not define genius. You are not everlasting, and you are following trends. That is not what makes you a genius.

In another video, Stonebwoy is shown teaching Wyclef Jean about Waakye, a Ghanaian delicacy, while the two enjoy their lunch together.

Stonebwoy is now on a tour of America, Europe, and Australia, which will culminate with a show in Ghana’s Accra Sports Stadium.

The tour follows the release of his highly anticipated “Fifth Dimension” album.

John Mahama, GHAMRO, supports K.K. Kabobo’s liver illness treatment

Barima Kaakyire Agyemang stated this in a Facebook post. "After I shared the story of veteran musician K.K. Kabobo, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the flag bearer of the NDC, donated GH5000 to him." God bless you, H.E. "The family is thankful," he wrote. During an interview with Hitz FM on February 27, K.K. Kabobo said that he received GH₵2000 from GHAMRO to fund his therapy. "GHAMRO was here and provided me GH2000 for medicine. Other Takoradi-based groups were also able to gather funds, which they contributed," he said.

K.K. Kabobo, a veteran Highlife performer, has received funding from former President John Mahama and the Ghana Music Rights Organisation for liver illness treatment.

K.K. Kabobo is now battling liver illness, and his health is failing.

Broadcaster Barima Kaakyire Agyemang, who visited the famed artist, shared the news on his Facebook page and asked for help with the musician’s treatment.


Following the news and requests for aid, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, donated GH5000 to the legendary artist.

Barima Kaakyire Agyemang stated this in a Facebook post.
