Ayigbe Edem, a multiple award-winning rapper, is preparing to run in the National Democratic Congress’s parliamentary primaries on May 13, 2023.
He made the announcement on his social media account on Tuesday but did not specify which constituency he is targeting.
In a tweet, the rapper stated that he will provide more information on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
It’s unclear which constituency the award-winning rapper is targeting, but sources close to the situation say he’ll run for the Ketu South seat.
Edem is one of several entertainers, including John Dumelo, Fred Nuamah, and Baba Sadiq, who are running for Parliament on the NDC ticket.
Denning Edem Hotor, better known as Denning Edem Hotor, rose to prominence in 2006 after releasing his first single, ‘Wotome Woshi,’ and was signed to The Last Two Entertainment Group that same year.
He was named Best International Act-Africa at the Black Canadian Awards in Canada in 2015.
