Baba Sadiq snub Hearts CEO role for politics

3 Music Boss, Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu has revealed that his political ambition has overtaken the desire to take up the role of the Chief Executive Officer at Accra Hearts of Oak.

According to Baba Sadiq in an interview with Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM’s Sportsnite, though he is noted for the tremendous work he’s done in the entertainment industry, his love for football began in infancy when he joined friends and family to watch matches at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Baba Sadiq intimated that it has become too late for him to take up the CEO job of Hearts due to the delay on the part of the Executive Board Chairman, hence his decision to contest for the parliamentary primaries in Okaikoi Central on the ticket of the NDC.

“I sent my CV but unfortunately the engagement hasn’t happened at the time I expected it to happen, so as at now it’s off my books.

“I was keen on bringing some magic and verve into what has been established by the board and the executive chairman.

“But as it stands now, I’m looking to contest in the primaries of a Parliamentary Candidate for Okaikoi Central pending the official opening of the process by my party.

“It is something on my radar now but if the engagement had happened earlier, I would have been able to bring some magic and verve to the role”, he told Asempa FM.
