Barber murders 18-year-old girlfriend in Akyem Nsutam, Eastern Region

The Kibi Divisional Police Command is now on the lookout for Osei Michael, also known as Emeka, who is suspected of stabbing his 18-year-old girlfriend, Abigail Asare, many times in Akyem Nsutam, which is located in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region.

The incident occurred in Emeka’s barbershop after a brief quarrel erupted when Abigail visited him after being told by her school to come home for a short vacation.

The motivation for the crime is unknown, however, sources claim Emeka accused Abigail of having an affair with another guy.

Emeka then locked the injured girl inside the business and departed, leaving her in severe condition.

Passers-by heard her screams and called the Nsutam police, who stormed inside the business and discovered Abigail’s lifeless body in a pool of blood.

The victim’s family members, along by the police, attended the murder scene and subsequently brought Abigail’s body to the Accra Police Hospital for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, officials have launched a search operation to locate the suspect, who is said to be hiding in the Suhum area.

An anonymous source at the Yeji Police Station verified the event to the GNA, indicating that it was being investigated.

Solomon Mbalegon, 62, a fetish priest, is accused of murdering his 25-year-old junior wife, Madam Nakoli Mbalegon, and then committing suicide over suspicion of adultery.

Mr Mbalegon, also known as ‘Okomfo’ Solomon, is accused of murdering Mad. Mbalegon on Thursday night at their house in Parambo, a neighbourhood of Yeji in the Pru East District of the Bono East Region.

Mr. Yussif Sulemana, the Assemblyman for the region who verified the event to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), stated that Mr. Mbalegon accused his wife of having adulterous affairs with other males in the neighbourhood.

According to him, there was a misunderstanding between them, and as a result, the male stabbed the woman to death before committing suicide by stabbing himself.

Suhum: Police on manhunt for Okada rider accused of poisoning 17-year-old pregnant girlfriend

The police officers who went to the crime scene to transport the deceased's body to the Suhum government hospital mortuary have launched an inquiry to catch the suspect, Akooko, who is presently on the run. Ransford Norvor, Assemblyman for Koransang, confirmed the occurrence to the media, stating that "the deceased completed school this year." Matilda Dankwa is her given name. According to an eyewitness, her lover took her up from home at 4 p.m. yesterday, and the news of her death was received within 30 minutes after they departed."

Police in Suhum, Eastern Region, are looking for a 22-year-old Okada rider who reportedly poisoned his partner in Koransang, Suhum Municipality, Eastern Region.

The Okada rider, only known as Akooko, was in a love connection with the dead, 17-year-old Matilda Dankwa, who had just finished Junior High School.

According to the local Assemblyman, the deceased who became pregnant for the Okada rider refused to abort the pregnancy when the suspect asked her to.

On Monday, the suspect arrived on his motorbike to look for the dead, and she was discovered with foam seeping from her lips a few minutes later. The police believe she was poisoned.

Police arrest two for preparing to commit robbery

The police have apprehended two individuals for robbery planning.

The suspects, Adams Kwame and Abubakari Sharif, as well as two others who are still on the run, were apprehended on Thursday, September 14 at the Tweapease Police checkpoint while attempting to flee from authorities during a regular stop-and-search operation.

They recovered a pump-action gun, two live BB rounds, two machetes, and a catapult.

Preliminary investigations have shown that the suspects had the exhibit goods in their possession while attempting to commit robbery.

They are presently in prison and will appear in court, while attempts are being made to apprehend the remaining two.
