Bawumia meets with the Majority Caucus in Parliament

Following the November 4th elections, the Vice President has engaged the party's leadership, his candidates Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Afriyie Akoto, and Addai Nimo, as well as consulting all other stakeholders as the NPP prepares for elections in 2024.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), visited Parliament on Monday to meet with the Majority Caucus.

The purpose of the visit was to express his heartfelt thanks to the NPP members who backed him during the presidential primaries.

Dr Bawumia, joined by members of his campaign team, met with the caucus, which was led by Majority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, and his First Deputy, Lydia Seyram Alhassan.

Following the November 4th elections, the Vice President has engaged the party’s leadership, his candidates Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Afriyie Akoto, and Addai Nimo, as well as consulting all other stakeholders as the NPP prepares for elections in 2024.

Dr. Bawumia previously congratulated the NPP leadership for their contributions to the successful organisation and conduct of the election, which he said has been hailed as transparent, free, and fair by all and sundry.

In the next days, he will embark on a regional trip to communicate his thanks and vision to party members and Ghanaians in general.
