McLaughlin was born in New York City, New York on October 13, 2001, and grew up in Carmel, New York. He attended Kent Primary School for a year before moving on to George Fischer Middle School. During this time, he was already attending auditions and attempting to pursue a career as an actor. He also opted to spend a year studying dancing at Happy Feet Dancing School in Carmel, New York. McLaughlin wants to keep his personal and romantic relationships secret. Career
McLaughlin’s first performing role was in the opera “Lost in the Stars,” which premiered at the Glimmerglass Opera House in Cooperstown, New York. McLaughlin won a role in the 2012 short film “Noah Dreams of Origami Fortunes.” He also played Young Simba in “The Lion King” at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway from 2012 to 2014. He also began auditioning for television shows, landing guest spots on shows such as “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Unforgettable,” “Forever,” “What Would You Do?” and “Shades of Blue.”
