Fergie was born Stacy Ann Ferguson in Hacienda Heights, California, on March 27, 1975. She was raised in a Roman Catholic family with her parents Terri and John (both teachers) and her younger sister Dana. She attended Mesa Robles Middle School and Glen A. Fergie began dating actor Josh Duhamel in 2004 after seeing the Black Eyed Peas on his programme “Las Vegas.” They married on January 10, 2009, and their son Axl was born on August 29, 2013. The pair divorced in November 2019 after splitting in 2017. Fergie suffered from drug addiction and became hooked on crystal meth as a member of Wild Orchid; she attributes her recovery to hypnosis.
Career
Fergie first appeared as Sally in the “Peanuts” television special “It’s Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown” in 1984, and she returned in “Snoopy’s Getting Married, Charlie Brown” (1985) and “The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show” (1986). (1985–1986). She also joined the cast of “Kids Incorporated” in 1984 which lasted for six seasons. Fergie created Wild Orchid with Stefanie Ridel and “Kids Incorporated” co-star Renee Sandstrom in 1990 and the trio signed with RCA Records in 1994. Wild Orchid’s self-titled first album was published in 1997, and they went on to produce two more studio albums, “Oxygen” in 1998 and “Fire” in 2001 before Fergie quit the group.
Will.i.am requested Fergie to audition for their song “Shut Up” on the Black Eyed Peas’ third album, 2003’s “Elephunk.” She sailed through the audition and ended up recording six songs for the CD.
