The new edition of Football Manager has now been out for months, with users once again given the opportunity to take control of their favourite clubs to lead them to glory.
One of the main aspects of the game, and probably the most fun, is spending money to build your very own dream team.
Manchester City‘s transfer budget of £102 million is the highest in the Premier League, having lowered their spending in recent years.
Meanwhile Chelsea have a budget of just £13.5m on the back of a record-breaking summer window under new ownership.
The most surprising figure is the £70m available to Brighton managers on FM23, though it makes sense after the sales of Marc Cucurella and Yves Bissouma.
As for wage budgets, Man Utd’s comes in at the highest, with the club having £5.46m per week to spend on player salaries.
Real Madrid missed out on Kylian Mbappe in the summer transfer window, and he will be nearly impossible to sign now, but Los Blancos have the funds to go after almost every other star on the game.
Likewise, PSG have the necessary budget to add to an already star-studded squad in the transfer market.
The financial predicament that Barcelona find themselves in is represented well on the new game.
Here are the transfer and wage budgets in the Premier League and at Europe’s top clubs at the start of FM23.
