Former Hearts of Oak player and coach, Mohammed Polo has waded into the conversation of Sulley Muntari’s decision to cross carpet from the ‘continental club masters’ to Asante Kotoko.
Rumours are rife in some sections of the local media that the former Inter Milan midfielder has enquired if he could join his ‘boyhood’ club, Asante Kotoko.
It is in light of this that the “dribbling magician” was quizzed in an interview with Kumasi-based Akoma FM about whether Sulley’s decision is worthwhile.
“I wish I was also young like Sulley, I would have made the decision to play for Kotoko so that I can have a feel of what it is to play for a team like Kotoko.
“If I was in my youthful days, I would have taken the same decision as Sulley. There’s nothing wrong with what Sulley wants to do.”
However, information available to our news desk has it that the management of Asante Kotoko has turned down the opportunity to sign the UEFA Champions League winner due to high demands by the player.
