Ghanaian boxer Seth Gyimah, often known as “Freezy MacBones,” has stated his desire to win additional gold for Ghana.
He made this statement upon his arrival from the United Kingdom, after deciding to represent Ghana in the forthcoming 2024 Olympic qualifiers in Senegal.
In an interview with Citi Sports, the 33-year-old fighter expressed his excitement to be back in Ghana and eager to contribute to the boxing community.
I think that dreams can come true, and there’s nothing greater than returning home to share a small bit of knowledge to help your nation.
When we arrive in Senegal, we hope to bring victory, a lot of gold, and a lot of medals in general, back to Ghana.
It will be interesting and pleasant, but at the end of the day, Ghana will take a lot of medals, and for me, I will do a lot more for myself and support the nation.
Freezy MacBones, who is presently in Ghana, has joined the Black Bombers, Ghana’s boxing squad, for the qualifications in Dakar, Senegal ahead of the next Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris next year.
The boxer recently hinted about representing Ghana at the 2016 Olympic Games in Paris, France, indicating that he had been invited to join the squad as they prepared for the competition, as Ghana aims to rehabilitate its reputation in world boxing.
The Ghana Boxing Federation’s goal for the Black Bombers squad is to have a solid mix of international and native players, as revealed by the Federation’s President Benard Quartey.
To prepare for their future tasks, the Black Bombers have begun training at Bukom’s Trust Sports Emporium.
