Yesterday’s opening ceremony for the Qatar World Cup saw the host of the tournament being silenced by an awesome two nil victory from their Ecuadorian counterparts.
For a host nation to lose their opening match at a Grande tournament like the World Cup, Qatar has become the first national team to lose their opening match as hosts of the World Cup.
Though the competition looked very keen during the early stages of the game, the Qatari team looked like an underdog and from all indications they couldn’t change that fact.
Their recent loss indicates they will living dangerously in anticipation for a better results against their next opponents in the tournament which are Senegal and Netherlands.
