Kofi Adams retains Buem slot

Kofi Adams, the current Member of Parliament for Buem, has been re-elected as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the constituency in the 2024 general elections.

The former NDC National Organiser won by an 11-vote margin.

While Kofi Adams received 441 votes in Saturday’s primaries, his major opponent, Babs Adamu, received 430 votes.

Kofi Adams won the NDC’s parliamentary primaries in 2019 to run in the 2020 general election.

With 388 votes, he defeated incumbent MP Daniel Kosi Ashaimah.

He regained his seat in the December 2020 general elections with 18,528 votes, or 71.84%, against his closest rival, Lawrence Kwami Aziale of the New Patriotic Party, who received 6,843 votes, or 26.5%.
