""A genius is someone who can drive a generation forward. And long after you've left. Can that generation continue to go forward? That is why I believe he is a genius. I've been watching him for a very long time. "He has moved Africa forward," he stated.

Wyclef Jean, a Haitian-American singer, has professed appreciation for Ghanaian dancehall performer Stonebwoy.

Wyclef Jean brought Stonebwoy to his New York residence when he was on his American tour.

In a social media video, Wyclef praised Stonebwoy for his huge contributions to African music, noting that “he is a genius.”

“Extremely gifted. Not even skill; how can I describe genius? Because I am a genius. I do not define genius. You are not everlasting, and you are following trends. That is not what makes you a genius.
