Latif Anabila has noted that it will be difficult to return to the Porcupine Warriors following a disappointing spell at the Kumasi-based royal club.
In an interview with Akoma FM in Kumasi, the Bechem United midfielder recounted the bad blood between him and former Portuguese gaffer Mariano Baretto leading to his sideline.
The former Ashgold midfielder feels disappointed with the fans of Asante Kotoko who failed to rally behind him during his time with the club after failing to listen to his side of the story.
“I have so much respect for Kotoko and it’s supporters but I feel so much disappointed that the fans (Kotoko supporters) did not listen to my side of the story after hearing several issues and concluded,” he intimated.
He added that he signed for Asante Kotoko because of his love for the supporters however, they turned against him during his turbulent times at the club.
“I came to Kotoko because of the supporters. They showed so much love to me prior to my coming, but I will say all what they heard about me was not true.
I always feel like crying, because I had so much ambition coming to Kotoko. I was injured in my first game and was ruled out for 3 to 4 matches but returned without fully recovering because of the love I had for the club.
I am never a lazy player, many coaches, players and supporters who used to come to the training grounds will attest to it.
I am always working hard for myself and the team.
My doors are opened to any club because my contract with Bechem has ended but honestly speaking, it will be difficult to return to Kotoko, I am not sure that will happen,” he concluded.
