Mukwala discusses his connection with striking partner Kalo Ouattara

Despite struggling early in the season and witnessing Ouattara score two game-winning goals, Mukwala welcomed the challenge.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club striker Steven Mukwala has welcomed competition from teammate striker Kalo Ouattara, describing the rivalry as “healthy.”

He stated this in an interview with Kotoko’s official media channel ahead of the BetPawa Premier League match against Bechem United on Sunday, October 29.

The Ugandan striker discussed a variety of topics, including what scoring his first goal of the season means to him.

Despite struggling early in the season and witnessing Ouattara score two game-winning goals, Mukwala welcomed the challenge.

“He is an amazing striker as well. Always a team has to be with competition which is healthy so I think so I think our competition is really healthy.”

“If I’m not in good shape, he is ready to deliver for the team. If he’s not in good shape, I think I can also play that part so basically it has been a good healthy competition.”

Kotoko is rated seventh in the 18-team league standings, while Bechem is ranked thirteenth.
