I am a 35 year old hardworking man and I have a business which is doing well. I got married 4 months ago.
When I met my wife, she insisted on the “no sex until marriage” rule which I agreed to. I never touched nor kissed her until we got married.
Two weeks after our wedding, she fell sick and rushed her to the hospital only to know that she’s 2 months pregnant. She confessed sleeping with her ex boyfriend when we were courting and that possibly could have resulted in a pregnancy. I love my wife and i just consoled myself with thoughts of “what if she had a child before we met?”
Well, I forgave her and we moved on only for her to wake me up at dawn two weeks ago to tell me she wants a divorce. I asked her reasons and this is what she said.
. I’m too calm for her liking
•I don’t beat her up like her ex does and don’t argue with her even when she provokes me
⚫ She doesn’t understand why have decided to amicably accept another man’s pregnancy when I’m supposed to let her go.
⚫ According to her, she has contacted her ex who’s responsible for her pregnancy and he’s willing to take her back and marry her.
She actually married me because her parents and people around her told her I’m a good man and can take good care of her when she marries me.
I’m willing to overlook all these and keep her as my wife but she’s still bent on the divorce. No amount of begging has been able to change her mind.
I don’t want her to leave.. What can I do to keep my wife?
