The manager of Konadu Yiadom, Joe Abdul Salam has revealed that the CEO of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah warned him that Heart of Oak doesn’t have enough money to pay for the transfer fee of former WAFA center back Konadu Yiadom.
The Porcupine Warriors made a late bid for the services of the Black Galaxies defender but the manager turn down Kotoko’s offer, due to an initial agreement with the Rainbow club.
Whiles reacting to the question of whether the registration of his player by Hearts of Oak was completed on the deadline day, the CEO of Tema United recounted how he turned down Kotoko and his failure to take the advice of Nana Yaw Amponsah.
“I regret not giving Konadu Yiadom to Asante Kotoko. Everything shows I made a mistake. I regret and should have taken the money from Asante Kotoko. [Kotoko Chief Execuitve] Yaw Amponsah even told me Hearts of Oak have no money to pay the boy.” Joe Abdul Salam told Asempa FM.
He concluded that Hearts of Oak wanted to give him a peanut on the transfer deadline day after they agreed on $50,000 for Konadu Yiadom.
Meanwhile, Konadu Yiadom is currently in Vienna City, as the Black Galaxies prepare to play a friendly match against Qatar ahead of a crucial qualifier against Nigeria on Sunday.
