Ghana has become Africa’s number 1 destination since the announcement of the “Year of Return” by president Akufo-Addo during a visit to Caribbean country, Jamaica.

The country for the first time in its history received millions of Africans in the diaspora in 2019 which the government accrued a lot of returns in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first recorded enslaved Africans in the State of Virginia in the United States.

Another program was launched dubbed “Beyond the Return” however, the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic took the world by storm, bringing a lot of big economies to their knees.
