Reports have emerged in some sections of the media in Kumasi that Asante Kotoko coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum is on his way out to Sudanese club Al Hilal Omdurman, following his verbal resignation from the royal club.
Prosper Ogum has dominated headlines in the last few days following his disagreements with Asante Kotoko management after guiding them to a triumphant season to clinch a 25th league title for the club.
The Black Galaxies assistant coach has received many offers locally and on the continent and is expected to make a decision in the next few days to relinquish his post at Kotoko or return to the helm of affairs.
However, rumours are rife that the former WAFA and Abusua Dwarfs gaffer will soon leave the shores of the country to seek a new challenge and greener pasture in the northern part of Africa to coach Al Hilal.
Al Hilal are currently on top of the Sudanese elite league with 72 points and is closely chased by Al-Merriekh who also have 71 points with a game each to close the season.
Prosper Ogum is expected to replace Khaled Bakhit to replicate his magic that saw Kotoko enjoy a smooth ride in the Ghanaian league last season as compared to a roller-coaster season by the Sudanese club.
