Report: Asante Kotoko Settles On Kamou Malo To Replace Prosper Ogum

Kamou Malo

Asante Kotoko have reportedly settled on former Burkina Faso coach Kamou Malo as the next coach of the porcupine warriors following the resignation of Dr Prosper Naeteh Ogum.

Gravepine reports from Kumasi-based Pure FM have it that the management of Kotoko is willing to pay a monthly salary of $6,000 to the coach cum police officer from Burkina.

Kamou Malo, formerly of RC Kadiogo led the CHAN side of Burkina Faso to eliminate the Black Galaxies (formerly Black Stars B) on two consecutive occasions during the reign of Maxwell Konadu as the gaffer of the locally-based Black Stars.

Asante Kotoko is scheduled to travel to Turkey on the 15th of August for pre-season and it is expected that Kamou Malo will lead the fabulous lads on their tour to Europe.

Meanwhile, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum and the management of the club are yet to comment on the ongoing feud that has deteriorated the peace and harmony enjoyed between them in the past.

However, rumours are rife that the two parties will part ways at all costs by the close of the week to pave way for a new coach to lead Asante Kotoko.
