Safiatu’s splendid performance in the league propelled Ampem Darkoa to earn them a spot in Ivory Coast’s Yamosomkrom for the second CAF Women’s Champions League qualification.

Ampem Darkoa was unfortunately denied entry to the main tournament in Morocco by Nigeria’s Bayalsa Queen, who defeated them in the final 3 goals to nil.
