Six firefighters injured in an accident involving a fire tender

An accident involving a fire tender from the Agona Fire Station in the Sekyere South District of the Ashanti region has wounded six people.

The tragedy happened early Friday morning as the team was responding to an emergency call in Beposo.

They suffered varied degrees of injuries and are receiving care at the Salvation Army Hospital in Wiamoase, near Agona.

DOIII Peter Addai, the Regional Public Relations Officer (PRO), acknowledged the event in a statement.
