Dr. Kwame Kyei, the previous board chairman and proprietor of the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, however, called for a truce and asked fans to unite. He stated that the stadium belonged to Kotoko and that the supporters had caused damage to their property. Dr. Kyei replied that he would not hold the Porcupines liable for the damages, but would pay for the damaged chairs. He also recommended followers to learn from the calamity on May 9th. These incidents have overshadowed league discussions, and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is under increasing pressure to act. The GFA has yet to issue an official statement in response to these upsetting developments.
