Jasiel Amon Robinson was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 20, 1983. Stanley Tucker, Joc’s father, had a firm that marketed hair care products, and he helped Joc gain a job writing a jingle for the cosmetics giant Revlon. Mastermind Records was founded by Yung Joc when he began rapping.
Personal Life
Joc’s Swagg Team recording studio was stolen of around $70,000 in studio equipment in late 2011. The burglars also stole a hard drive with unpublished tracks that Yung Joc planned to include on his third album. Joc subsequently reported that one of the thieves was recognised as a man named “Honcho” who lived in Thomaston, Georgia. Yung Joc has eight children from four different mothers: Ja’Kori, sons Amoni, Amir, and Chase, and two pairs of twins, Cadence and Camora and Eden and Allon. He had three children with his ex-wife, Alexandra, who he was married to for 13 years. Joc became engaged to lawyer Kendra Robinson in July 2019, and despite he told “Page Six” that they “want to get engaged and get married straight away,” the COVID-19 epidemic put the couple’s wedding plans on hold. In 2009, Joc revealed that he was initiating a lawsuit against Bad Boy Entertainment and Block Entertainment because of unpaid royalties. He added, “I haven’t been paid any royalties since I’ve been out, after over a million CDs sold. They handed me a $25,000 advance on my debut record when I was expected to earn more… Then I had a million-dollar budget for my second record and never even received an advance. For the third one, they slammed me with another $25,000, like I’m some chump in this mess. And I simply grew weary of it.” Master Mind Music, an Atlanta record company, sued Joc, Bad Boy Entertainment, and Block Entertainment in 2012 for copyright infringement and violation of a contract; the firm claimed ownership of all Yung Joc music recorded since 2005.

Yung Joc rose to prominence after meeting Atlanta producer Nitti Beatz and recording the song “It’s Goin Down” in 2005. Russell “Block” Spencer of Block Enterprises signed Joc to Bad Boy South, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ musical label. “New Joc City,” Yung Joc’s first album, was released on June 6, 2006, and peaked at #3 on the “Billboard” 200 lists and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts. “It’s Goin Down” was certified three times platinum, topping the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, and reached number three on the “Billboard” Hot 100 list. The album’s two additional singles, “I Know You See It” and “1st Time” went Platinum and Gold, respectively.
