A Nigerian man identified as Olusegun Oluwole has been arrested by Ogun State Police Command officers for allegedly forcing carnal knowledge of his daughter, age 17.
The suspect was detained as a result of a complaint made by the victim at the Ibara police station.
The victim, who was accompanied by some so-called “safe corpsmen,” claimed that at around 11:30 pm, while she was sleeping in their one-room apartment in the Amolaso neighbourhood of Abeokuta, her father suddenly grabbed her and had forcibly had s,ex with her while threatening to k.ill her if she refused.
Following the report, CSP Bernard Egbondiya, the DPO for the Ibara division, dispatched his investigators to the location right away, where they rapidly arrested the culprit.
During questioning, the father of six who admitted to the crime begged for forgiveness and claimed he had no idea what had driven him to do it.
