Ken Ofori-Atta to submit Mid-Year Budget On July 27

The Mid-Year Budget Review for 2023 will be announced on Thursday, July 27.

Ken Ofori-Atta, the Finance Minister, will be in charge of this.

The presentation adheres to Section (28) of the Public Financial Management Act of 2016, Act 921.

The Act mandates the Finance Minister, or any other minister appointed by the President in his or her absence, to give a Mid-Year Review to Parliament six months after the main budget for that fiscal year is presented.

Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, the Majority Leader of Parliament, announced the date for the presentation on the floor of Parliament on Friday, June 30.

Prior to that, industry participants have already requested the government to take advantage of the chance to eliminate several tax breaks.

Among the levies are the sanitary pad tax and others.
