The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has stated that the various interventions outlined in the 2023 budget will see to it that the numerous economic challenges facing the Ghanaian populace are addressed.

Speaking in the 38th Farmer’s Day Celebration observed in the Eastern region of Ghana, Nana Addo said the time has come for the government to adopt some relevant measures that will help in the mobilization of revenue amid the sudden economic mishaps confronting the nation.

Adding to this, the President said the 2023 budget will outline some essential measures that will complement debt operations with fiscal adjustments through the mobilization of revenue and measures that will ensure expenditure rationalization.

According to Nana Addo, it is for this reason that the Minister of Finance has highlighted the state’s self-imposing cost-cutting measures, some of which includes a 30% cut in salary received by government appointees as well as the reevaluation of certain government flagship programmes instituted when the Nana-led administration started its administrative work.
