Charles Bissue fined GH500 by the court for his indecision in his lawsuit against OSP

The OSP launched an inquiry into Mr Bissue for his suspected involvement in corruption and corruption-related actions while serving as Secretary to the IMCIM. The probe followed his indictment in the undercover video Galamsey Fraud Part 1 by investigative journalist Anas Anas. However, in June 2023, Mr Bissue filed a petition against the OSP at the High Court in Accra. He insisted on Anas being probed and prosecuted for allegedly giving him a bribe, as shown in the video.

In his lawsuit against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), the Human Rights Court fined former Secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), Charles Bissue, GH500.

According to the court, this is owing to his refusal to make a decision on his case, which sought to prevent the OSP from investigating and prosecuting him.

The office revealed this in a post on X, previously Twitter, noting that the case had been rescheduled for November 15.
