Dentaa Amoateng introduced me to Angelique Kidjo - Stonebwoy admits

Since the release of Stonebwoy’s 5th Dimension album, one of the tracks that have captured the hearts of most music lovers and followers of the musician is “Manodzi.”

Local and international performers on the 17-track album include British rapper Stormzy, Grammy award-winner and African vocalist Angelique Kidjo, iconic Nigerian Afrobeats singer Davido, South African DJ Maphorisa, and Jamaican reggae rapper Shaggy, among others.

The album’s 17th tune, ‘Manodzi,’ includes multiple Grammy-winning African musician Angelique Kidjo.

While answering a question on Citi 97.3 FM’s Breakfast Show about how he was able to have the iconic African diva featured on the song, the crooner revealed that it was made possible through Dentaa Amoateng.

“I had already wanted to feature her (Angelique Kidjo) but I came into contact with her through Dentaa. There was a program here and Dentaa brought her, so immediately I saw her. I tapped Dentaa and told her I wanted to feature her [Angelique Kidjoe] then she linked her to me.”

He further explained,  “When I discussed the collaboration with her (Angelique Kidjo), she never complained. When she went back, she sent me her verse and that was how the song was done.”
