As part of the rewards for having representation in the Black Stars squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the FIFA Club rewards Programme will offer over $500,000 to five Ghanaian clubs.

The Ghana Football Association collected $565,772.42 to be distributed among Ghana’s five clubs, according to a FIFA report expected to be released on Thursday morning.

Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, King Faisal, Dreams Football Club, and Steadfast Football Club are also beneficiaries of the initiative.

Hearts received the greatest money, $219,008.70, while Kotoko received $200,757.97, according to the report.

According to the data, Steadfast also got $109,504.72. Dreams and King Faisal were both awarded $18,250.72.

The cash prize is due to the teams having players who competed in the qualifying for two years and reached the final roster for the Mundial.

Every one of the 837 football players is eligible for a rounded per player daily sum of USD 10,950, regardless of how many minutes they played throughout the competition. Ghana participated in the event till the group stage concluded.

The FIFA Club Benefits Programme is an initiative to reward the efforts of football clubs during World Cup seasons.

Clubs are also financially rewarded by tournament income, which are awarded to clubs that made their players available for their respective national teams by member organisations.

The curriculum was launched in anticipation of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
