New information has emerged about the recent sad accident involving a Yutong bus and a fuel tanker, which claimed 16 lives and injured 40 others.
The bus, which was entirely burned in the crash, had substantial damage with shredded and discoloured components and highly damaged tyres.
The bus looked purposefully deconstructed for repair, with some chairs ripped but still positioned inside.
The tragic accident happened in the Central Region near Gomoa Okyereko, involving an Accra-bound Yutong bus and a petrol tanker with the registration number WR 2063-10.
According to reports, 16 people died at the accident scene, while 40 others were injured to varied degrees.
The passengers were on their way from Liberia to Accra at the time of the tragedy, according to reports.
