Kudus will not go for the same amount as Antony, but his price will undoubtedly rise, according to a Dutch journalist

If Manchester United decides to pursue Mohammed Kudus, he will not command the same asking price as Brazilian winger Antony.

According to Dutch journalist Mike Verweij, the Ajax Amsterdam player has been linked to another English Premier League club, Brighton & Hove Albion.

Kudus spent two seasons at Ajax under Man United head coach Erik Ten Hag, during which time the pair won two Eredivisie titles in succession.

Aside from Manchester United and Brighton, Everton and German club Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in signing the former Nordsjaelland midfielder.

This was mentioned by De Telegraaf’s Verweij on the Kick Off show at a time when Ajax is on the verge of selling defender Jurrien Timber to Arsenal.

Ajaxi is holding out for 45 million Euros, according to the Dutch Journalist, whereas Antony was sold to Manchester United for 100 million Euros.

“Brighton are the most serious. But if Manchester United become serious about Kudus, then Erik ten Hag can do great things for his former club again just like when he bought Antony for €100m (£86.5m). Kudus won’t go for the same price but his price would surely go up” according to Vermeij.

Kudus has 18 goals and seven assists in 42 games across all competitions in 2022-2023.
