The Black Princesses of Ghana have suffered yet another defeat at the hands of Japan in the ongoing U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

The defending champions inflicted a painful to nil defeat which leaves Ghana languishing at the bottom of the group following an initial 3 nil drubbing by the United States of America on Thursday evening.

Two penalties from Maika Hamano in the second half got the job done for the Asians. Japan found their way through right after the hour mark following a penalty decision.

Hamano stepped up and finished expertly from 12 yards. She got a similar opportunity in the 72nd minute and made no mistake.

Ghana will now hope that the USA lose to the Netherlands in their next game to stand any chance of qualifying.
