Robert Eshun, a former Ghana international, died on Monday, October 23.
He died at the age of 49.
According to accounts, Eshun died after suffering a heart attack while travelling to work on Monday morning.
Robert Eshun, sometimes known as Ebo Electric, is most known for his goal in the 1990 FA Cup final.
He was a member of the African Championship team for Asante Kotoko. He was also an important member of Kotoko’s team.
Eshun’s remarkable achievements for Ghana at a U-21 AFCON qualifying tournament in Egypt drew the attention of European teams, who were eager to recruit the youthful star.
Eshun began his career with Asante Kotoko before transferring to Belgium to play for Turnhot, Tielen, and Lommel in the early 1990s.
The pacy winger also played for Gazientep in the Turkish Super Lig before moving on to Sarawak in Malaysia.
