Kassim Mingle, the head coach of Nations FC, has indicated his wish for a change in the assigned referee for their forthcoming match against Asante Kotoko.
The Ghana Football Association had earlier designated Latif Adaari as the referee for Nations FC’s home game against Asante Kotoko on matchday 6 of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League.
Coach Kassim Mingle, speaking with Rainbow Sports, expressed his preference for a different match official due to concerns about Latif Adaari’s officiating in their previous game against Legon Cities.
“I would appreciate it if Latif Adaari is replaced as the referee for our game against Asante Kotoko because of the way he handled our game against Legon Cities,” Mingle said. It left me unsatisfied.”
He went on to say, “I wasn’t the only one who raised concerns about his refereeing during that match because almost everyone, particularly the journalists who were present, shared similar concerns.”
Latif Adaari will be assisted by Emmanuel Dolangbanu and Gabriel Boateng for the forthcoming match at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, with Foster Bastiours acting as the fourth official.
