My dream of playing for Kotoko has come true- Sherif Mohammed

“I dreamt of playing for Kotoko. That year before I joined Kotoko, I had the chance to join Kotoko but it didn’t go through because of my club (Steadfast FC) so the following year I joined Kotoko and I’ve always supported Kotoko.

Mohammed Sherif, a defensive midfielder for Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, says his ambition of playing for the club is finally a reality.

He said this in an interview on Kotoko’s official media channel following the Porcupine Warriors’ remarkable reversal in fortunes.

After three games of the 2023-2024 BetPawa Premier League season, the 2021-2022 League winners had no victories, but have since won two in a row to climb up to fifth position in the 18-team league standings.

While discussing numerous team-related matters, Sheriff said his desire to play for Kotoko became a reality after joining the club in 2021.

“I dreamt of playing for Kotoko. That year before I joined Kotoko, I had the chance to join Kotoko but it didn’t go through because of my club (Steadfast FC) so the following year I joined Kotoko and I’ve always supported Kotoko.

I have always dreamt of playing for Kotoko and it has become a reality so I am very happy.”

On Sunday, October 22, Kotoko will face local rival Nations FC.
