Great Olympics defeated Accra Lions 3-0 on Monday afternoon, putting an end to their roars.

The two teams met in Week 5 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Accra Lions made significant defensive mistakes during the game, allowing three goals in the first 20 minutes.

In a post-match interview, Great Olympics head coach Ibrahim Tanko recognised that his team performed well and deserved to win. He also emphasised Accra Lions’ defensive blunders, emphasising the need for development.

“Our performance was very poor. We had a disastrous first half, and with two mistakes, we gifted them the game. It’s very painful, but they deserved the victory,” Coach Ibrahim Tanko commented.
