After the social messaging platform crashed on Tuesday morning, users worldwide can now receive and send messages on WhatsApp.
Meta, the company that owns WhatsApp, confirmed the global outage and stated that it was working to restore the app “as soon as possible.”
Many users have now reported that the app is back to normal.
Users turned to alternative social media platforms such as Telegram, Twitter, and Facebook to connect with others and air their grievances.
Meta also owns Facebook and Instagram, the most popular messaging app in the world.
