The Fixing the Country Movement has postponed its scheduled rally and picketing outside former President John Mahama’s office in Accra.
The initial date for the exercise was November 16, 2023.
It was, however, delayed until November 23, 2023.
The picketing was in response to a petition to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) by the convener and Deputy Director of Communication of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu Bempah, to expedite its investigations into the Airbus bribery scandal.
Mr Bempah addressed the change in date in a Facebook post, saying it was due to the burial of former First Lady Theresa Aba Kufuor, which coincided with their original date.
As a result, the Movement has advised its throngs of followers to “remain poised for the demonstration.”
