Former Black Stars coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor has admitted to some mistakes he made which resulted in his sack from the national team.

In a close-up interview on Asempa FM’s Sportsnite with Enoch Worlanyo Wallace, the former VfL Wolfsburg player opened up on what he’s been up to since he was shown the exit in 2021.

The former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak coach received public backlash for his team’s performance and he has admitted to making mistakes during his time as head coach of the team.

“I made mistakes. I’ve learned a lot from that area. If I get the chance again it would definitely be different in how I go about things,” he told Worlanyo on the SportsNite show.

He was replaced by Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac who was also fired after a short spell in charge of the team from January 2019 to September 2021 overseeing 10 games, winning four, two draws and losing four.
