According to a press release issued by ISPYGH 247, a phoney media firm that claims to have investigated her activities, after six months of monitoring Fella's social media accounts, they discovered evidence of illegal activities such as the sale of unregistered drugs, false advertising, and the promotion of unproven drugs. According to the statement, Fella confirmed that the majority of the medications she sold were not FDA-registered. This follows a previous statement by Medikal, Fella's estranged husband, that the actress had undergone plastic surgery to improve her appearance despite advertising to the public that the change in her body was due to the usage of the medications she marketed. Fella Makafui, a Ghanaian filmmaker and young entrepreneur, was summoned by the police on Tuesday, May 22, as part of an inquiry into claims of illegal drug sales and promotion.

Initial reports stated she had been detained, but her manager, Richmond Amofa Sarpong, told Joy Entertainment she had been invited, not arrested.

He denied that Fella was selling or advertising unapproved products, claiming that the bulk of the goods had gotten permission and that others were in the process of being authorised.
