Jennifer Cudjoe, a Ghanaian midfielder, has signed a one-year deal with FC Nordsjaelland’s Gjensidige Women’s League squad in Denmark.
Cudjoe, 29, comes with a strong history, having most recently represented NJ/NY Gotham FC in the prestigious American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
“Jennifer will join the team as one of the oldest, which is why, with her previous experiences, she will bring a lot of experience with her to our young Women’s League team,” the club’s sports director Jessica Davis said.
Cudjoe is wellknown for her abilities as a powerful defensive midfielder who can also play with the ball. FC Nordsjaelland hopes she will develop into a central midfield captain, bringing her knowledge to the field.

Cudjoe’s values off the pitch have been lauded in addition to her playing ability. She has been a leading influence in campaigning for female football players in Ghana and beyond Africa, with the goal of increasing possibilities for female athletes.
