Career

Ken Block began his rallying career in 2005 with the Vermont SportsCar squad. He went on to finish second overall in the 2006 Rally America National Championship. Block earned 19 podiums and 8 overall victories in rally events at the end of 2007. He placed second overall in the 2008 Rally America National Championship, and on February 27, 2010, Block won the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood (Rally America) for the fifth time in a row, breaking the record previously held by John Buffum.

Block and his co-driver Alex Gelsomino were rushed to the hospital on March 23, 2011, after rolling their Ford Fiesta RS WRC during the shakedown stage of the 2011 Rally de Portugal in Faro, Portugal. Both men were eventually declared safe by a representative of the Monster World Rally squad. In 2013, Block finished seventh overall after finishing in the top ten in the Mexican rally, earning his first six points for the championship. Block has also competed in a variety of action sports such as skateboarding, snowboarding, and motocross.
