Kpando Heart of Lions are the Division One League Zone 3 champions

Salifu Fatawu’s Kpando Heart of Lions has been declared winners of the 2022/23 Access Bank Division One League Zone 3 following a successful season in which they lost only four league matches.
The Kpando-based club qualified for the Premier League with four games to spare, eight years after being relegated.
To put the frosting on the cake, the Champions defeated A5 Rences 2:0 in a coronation match at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

Dickson Sakabutu, captain of Kpando Heart of Lions, converted a penalty kick in the final minutes of the first half, shattering the game’s virginity.
Mustapha Yakubu added to A5 Rences’ sorrows with a goal in the 88th minute, putting the score at 2:0.
Kpando Heart of Lions scored 35 goals in 26 games, losing only four games while drawing two and winning twenty.
With 62 points after a win against A5 Rences, they have a 22-point advantage over second-placed Vision FC in the Access Bank Divine One Zone 3 League table.
The Kpando-based team, therefore, secured Premier League qualifying with four games remaining and were proclaimed 2022/23 season winners.
The squad was given a trophy and a payment of GH50,000, while the players and technical crew were given medals.

Sakabutu Dickson, who was overjoyed, ascribed their success to hard work, persistence, and continuous progress.
He praised the team’s support and was grateful to God for guiding them to their season’s final goal.

Dr Randy Abbey, President of Kpando Heart of Lions, believes the squad will make an impression in the Premier League next season.
He stated that the team as a whole will be revitalised in preparation for top-tier football.
“We intend to stay [in the Premier League], so we will do all the things necessary to lift up the club to improve on all sides. I mean the playing body, the management, infrastructure, everything.
“We will try and work extremely hard to improve on all sides and expect that we will be able not just stay in the Premier League, but also make an impact,” he said.

Eric Kutortse, the Board Chairman of Kpando Heart of Lions, revealed intentions to renovate the Kpando Sports Stadium into a 5000-seat capacity facility capable of meeting Premier League standards.
The supporters were ecstatic with the news since it gave them the opportunity to see premier league football while also benefiting the economy.

King Faisal relegated from Ghana Premier League

King Faisal has been relegated from the betPawa Premier League and will play in Division One.
Their relegation was sealed when Karela United defeated Bibiani GoldStars 3-2 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park.
With one game left in the season, King Faisal’s destiny is determined, since they will finish no higher than 16th, regardless of the results of the last matches.
King Faisal is currently in 17th position with 39 points, three points behind Tamale City, who is narrowly outside the relegation zone.
If King Faisal wins their final game of the season and Tamale City loses, they will have equaled Tamale City’s point total. However, owing to their weaker head-to-head record against Tamale City this season (a 4-1 advantage for Tamale City), King Faisal would be unable to finish ahead of them.
King Faisal joins Kotoku Royals as the second Premier League team to be demoted this season.
On the last day of the season, the final relegation position will be determined. Hearts of Oak, Karela United, Accra Lions, Legon Cities, Tamale City, and Great Olympics are all fighting for survival.
