The Atlas Lions of Morocco have become history makers emerging as the first African country to reach the semifinals of the World Cup after beating Portugal by a slender 1-0 margin.
Prior to the tournament, the North Africans were ranked 22nd in the FIFA World Rankings as such it is expected that they will be moving further up the ranking list.
From the way they’ve played and recent records made by the team, it is possible that they will be placed 11th behind the Spanish national team in the next FIFA World Rankings.
The Atlas Lions will be facing a strong French team with hopes of making it to the finals of the World Cup for the first time in the history of African football.
