The family of late Ghanaian artist OJ Blaq has scheduled his last burial rituals on Saturday, November 4.
OJ Blaq died in August of this year.
The funeral will take place at Dzorwulu’s Empowerment Worship Centre. According to the programme, mourners will be able to file past his remains at 7:00 a.m., and the funeral will begin at 9:00 a.m.
On Sunday, the family will also host a Thanksgiving ceremony at the church.
OJ Blaq passed away in the early hours of August 17, 2023. However, the precise reason of his death is still unknown.
Outside of entertainment, the 40-year-old is known as Andy Nii Akrashie. He soared to popularity in 2006 with the publication of his debut album, “The Blaq Mixtape.”
His musical career flourished, with several projects and songs, including the classic “Chalewote.”
Since 2016, he has been vocal about his fight with renal disease, which he battled with dialysis treatments and other therapies.
In 2022, he revealed the lifestyle modifications he had to do in order to live a healthy life. Following his battle with renal disease, search OJ Blaq turned to Christian music.
