The police have verified the unfortunate loss of one of their officers in a frightening attack on a bullion van at a fuel station in Ablekuma Fanmilk, a suburb of Accra, the capital city, on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
During the incident, the officer was sitting in the front of the white vehicle when one of the four gunmen opened fire on him.
The perpetrators managed to depart the scene with two bags, the contents of which are unknown.
The audacious trio started their assault on two motorbikes in broad daylight, sparking terror among filling station customers and others close.
Photographs of the deceased police officer began to circulate as more information became available. He may be seen wearing a ring in one of the photos, suggesting his married status.
Another touching image shows the cop with his wife, a reminder of the tremendous loss endured by his loved ones.
The officer’s surname was Amoah, according to a subsequent statement from Star Oil, the corporation involved.
